Clear the way, Piers Morgan. With Oprah Winfrey signing off this week after a quarter century as the Queen of Talk, everyone with two pennies and a microphone is looking to elbow their way into the talk show arena.

Even Sesame Street’s Bert is throwing his stripped sweater into the ring.

The puppet is the host of the newest chat sensation sweeping daytime — Conversations With Bert. Things took a bit of a hostile tone, however, as the ever-cranky pigeon fanatic prepared to ask some hard-hitting questions of SNL comic Andy Samberg in his first interview.

(Warning: Don’t try to pull that “snappy comedy banter” over on Bert…)

“Let’s just dive into the conversation, shall we?”

They’re back! This weekend’s Saturday Night Live finale featured Creative Arts Emmy winners Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg — clad in their Color Me Badd-inspired suits — teaming up for a side-splitting collaboration with musical guest Lady Gaga as Timberlake came aboard to host the final episode of SNL of the show’s 36th season. Fans of Mother Monster and the former boy bander got a taste of the pair’s famous vocals together in the “What’s That Name?” skit and “Threeway,” a digital short, starring JT, his “Motherlover” partner Samberg, Gaga, and a whole slew of ’90s sex ballads.

Andy Samberg’s on the way to NBC’s Parks and Recreation. On Thursday, series star Aziz Ansari used this snapshot to let the Twitterverse in on the scoop that SNL’s Samberg will appear as Park Ranger Carl during a Parks and Rec episode premiering later this season.
