Many America’s Got Talent fans have a bone to pick over Wednesday night’s crowning of Kevin Skinner as this season’s champion. The country-singing chicken farmer beat out the operatic sounds of crowd favorite Barbara Padilla to take the $1 million grand prize. Nonetheless, the shy husband and father will headline the AGT stage show, hosted by Jerry Springer and opening on the Las Vegas strip next month.

Britain’s Got Talent breakout star Susan Boyle performed in the U.S. for the first time on Wednesday night’s season finale of America’s Got Talent. The Scottish “Hairy Angel” sang her new single, a cover of The Rolling Stones classic “Wild Horses,” and seemed poised on stage.

Her performance pulled in a staggering 25 million viewers.

Kevin Skinner, a singing chicken catcher from Mayfield, Kentucky took home the $1 million prize and a contract for a show in Las Vegas, on Wednesday night’s season finale of America’s Got Talent.

With guest performances by Leona Lewis, Shakira, Rascal Flatts, Susan Boyle, and montages of highlights from the past season, the show was packed full.

“I feel so good right now,” the shy 35-year-old father-of-two told host Nick Cannon. “I’m ready to perform. I wanna go out there and give ‘em the best show I can. Thanks, America, for voting me in.”

Barbara Padilla, an opera singer from Houston, was this season’s frontrunner going into the finals, but ended up coming in second. The Recycled Percussion Band took third place. Skinner will headline an “America’s Got Talent” show at the Planet Hollywood Resort&Casino hosted by Jerry Springer this October.

Nick Cannon declared his love for wife of 15 months Mariah Carey live on America’s Got Talent Wednesday night.

The pop diva — who Nick brands his “beautiful soulmate” — appeared on the stage of the NBC talent show, which Cannon hosts, to perform her new single “Obsessed.”

“Make some noise for the amazing Mariah Carey!” Cannon exclaimed, introducing his wife to viewers.

“I am obsessed with this beautiful girl right here. It’s all about Mariah,” he declared, pulling her into an embrace after she completed her performance.

“It’s your show, I’m just so happy to be here,” she replied.

“See that’s why I love her. She’s modest, she’s beautiful – ladies and gentlemen, my soulmate, Mariah Carey,” Nick cooed.

Mariah Carey “Obsessed” Music VIDEO Premiere July 15 On “America’s Got Talent”

The music video for Mariah Carey’s single “Obsessed” — the lead track from her forthcoming LP Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel — will debut on America’s Got Talent next week.

On Friday, Mariah took to her Twitter page to announce that the NBC talent show hosted by her husband, Nick Cannon, will premiere her video on July 15.

“Just wanna let you know that the world premiere of the ‘Obsessed’ video is on ‘America’s Got Talent’ (hosted by NCx0x) Wed.night..July 15th!” Mariah wrote.

Brett Ratner directed the “Obsessed” video, which finds Mariah dressed up in drag in mocking of her alleged former flame, rapper Eminem.
