America Ferrera has ended her rumored feud with former Ugly Betty guest star Lindsay Lohan.

Last fall, Lindsay was booted from the award-winning ABC dramedy after completing just four episodes of a six episode guest arc when she reportedly clashing with the show’s star, Ferrera.

But with Lindsay’s personal life hitting headlines following her recent split from Samantha Ronson, America has decided to extend an olive branch to her former foe.

“After hearing about Lindsay’s latest woes, America decided to put the past aside and see if she could help,” a tipster told The National Enquirer this week. “Right now Lindsay feels like everyone is shunning her. America’s call really gave her a confidence boost.”

Instead of opening in wide theatrical release, as she would have hoped, Lindsay’s latest film project, the light comedy Labor Pains, is headed straight to TV, with a premiere on the ABC Family Channel scheduled for this July. Upon hearing that news, America offered to act as Lindsay’s de facto manager by lining up a few new gigs for the out-of-work star.

“America told Lindsay she’d consider her for a role in her boyfriend’s upcoming film, which she’s producing,” the tattle says. “She also said she’d talk to Ugly Betty producers about Lindsay back next season for an episode or two.”

Producers of ABC’s Ugly Betty have ordered Golden Globe-winning series star America Ferrera to drop the not so pretty attitude.

Set insiders tell The National Enquirer, America has become impossible to work with as the show edges toward its fourth season.

“Everyone on Ugly Betty needs a break–but America is the root of the trouble.”

Last month, ABC programming bosses announced that they were putting the hit dramedy on hiatus–indefinitely–beginning March 26; Ugly Betty producers hope some time off will help the young star put things in prospect.

“….The brass is sick of dealing with the cast’s petty disagreements and infighting instigated by America’s diva behavior,” one spywitness claims. “They’re hoping the hiatus scares America straight and serves as a reality check that she’s not indispensable-and not the center of the universe.”

Ugly Betty is expected to return to the air in June.

Momager Dina Lohan has poo-pooed rumors that her trouble-prone daughter, Lindsay, was booted from her guest role on the ABC series Ugly Betty after a diva spat with the show’s star, actress America Ferrera.

“It was just silly,” Dina Lohan said of the reports about her daughter on-set battle with the Golden Globe winner.

“America’s a doll. And they said [Lindsay] brought a posse. It was my mother and myself, and [sister] Ali. It was not a posse. We had sushi and no one trashed the room.”

“America was mean to Lindsay. Producers give her too much power. Lindsay didn’t do the last two episodes because America didn’t like her and got her kicked off,” a pal of Lindsay’s blabbed to the New York Post on Thursday.

A production spy on set confirms the rumored feud between the Golden Globe-winning Ferrera and Lohan, a once popular fixture in Disney family films.

“It was a mess. Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. She smoked 24/7, and after she left, they had to repaint her dressing room it was such a mess.”

The Post even reveals an incident in which America exposed Lindsay’s bare bottom in front of the entire crew:

One episode, titled “Granny Pants,” was about how Lohan, playing Betty’s high school nemesis, would “de-pants” Ferrera. But Ferrera exacts her revenge and pulls down Lohan’s pants instead. “Lindsay wasn’t wearing any underwear….Lindsay was so embarrassed, she started crying.”

Reps for both America Ferrera and Lindsay Lohan deny that there was any on set trouble between the young actresses.

America Ferrera thinks television shows like The Hills and Gossip Girl create an onset of bitchiness. Well, this certainly explains that infamous eye-roll she gave Blake Lively on Good Day L.A earlier this year.

“Close, genuine female relationships are not what generally gets depicted in movies and TV shows. Like, if you’re watching ‘The Hills’ or ‘90210,’ all the backstabbing shapes the way we act – you go to school and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other,” the Ugly Betty says in the October 2008 issue of Seventeen.

“I mean, I love Blake; she’s a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like ‘Gossip Girl’ kind of condition us to be mean,” America said.
