Amanda Bynes has been tapped to star in a new workplace comedy on ABC.

The 22-year-old former Nick star has signed on for Canned, an ABC pilot about a group of friends who are all fired on the same day as part of a coporate shake-up, Variety reports.

(Talk about a sign of the times….)

Amanda will play Sarahbeth, a naïve girl from the Midwest, who is unknowingly exploited by her boss and spends nights at the office putting in work.

Canned will premiere next fall.

Comic actress Amanda Bynes is featured on the vibrantly-colored May 2008 cover of Seventeen Magazine, on newsstands this Tuesday.

“I wanted a BMW for my 16th birthday,” the twenty-two year old tells Seventeen. “But my parents were like ‘No.’ … And they got me a used Honda Accord with my own money. They were like, ‘This is what your brother and sister had.’ And I was so offended, so I took it out on them. Looking back, I realize that it’s a good thing they didn’t give me that car because I got into two accidents!”

Amanda Bynes is the new face of ‘Got Milk?’ ad campaign. This flick was shot at an all day photo shoot in New York with celebrity shutterbug Annie Leibovitz. Amanda’s ads will officially debut in Rolling Stone Magazine on Nov. 2.
