Allison Iraheta, who rose to promience as a finalist on the eighth season of American Idol, is now a free agent after “parting ways” with Jive Records. (That’s Music World Speak for “Girl Got Dropped!”)
“Allison Iraheta has parted ways with Jive Records, however she remains signed to 19 Recordings. Allison is currently on the road in the U.S. opening for Adam Lambert on the Glam Nation Tour,” a 19 spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly last week.
American Idol Season 8 finalist Allison Iraheta is returning to the Idol stage. The “Friday I’ll Be Over You” singer will perform her power ballad, “Scars,” on the first A.I. Results Show of the season — airing Thursday @ 8 PM. The episode will also feature Kris Allen performing and sharing his experiences from his recent missionary trip to Haiti.

Allison Iraheta, the red-headed, teenage rocker featured on the eighth season of American Idol, just landed a record deal. Allison has been signed by 19 Recordings, and will release her debut album — licensed to Jive Records — this fall, Entertainment Weekly reports.
“I think I’m still in shock that this is happening — getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true,” an excited Allison exclaimed.
