The ante just went up in the bitter divorce battle between Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and his estranged wify Cynthia. Celebrity spies say Mrs. Rodriguez has copies of sexy text messages her husband allegedly sent to Madonna-proving her claims that the pair engaged in an “emotional affair.”
“They were instrumental in convincing her that he was besotted. The messages could be released if things get really ugly,” a source told a UK tabloid.
Some people never learn. Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is throwing an All Star party at Jay-Z’s 40/40 in New York City on Monday night-and guess who has RSVP’d to attend the event? None other than Madonna!
Despite rampant rumors that she played a key role in the recent bust-up of A-Rod’s marriage, Madge is expected to join a number of other celebrity A-listers at the soiree.

Madonna has a few words for Cynthia Rodriguez’ legal team: “Shut your piehole!” The notoriously promiscuous Material Girl is livid over Cynthia’s claims that the pop legend engaged her husband, New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, in a non-sexual, but emotional, extramartial affair.
“Madonna is outraged. She told his wife Cynthia’s lawyers not to make any more statements about her - in short, shut up.”
The Rodriguez’ are in the first stages of a bitter $50 million divorce battle. “The correct analysis is a relationship. Some people categorise an affair as sexual infidelity. We’re not claiming that - it’s an affair of the heart,” one of Cynthia’s attorney, Earle Lilly, said of Madonna’s relationship with Alex.
“Cynthia has tolerated a lot of misconduct, but this one was the final straw. Having Madonna sit in his box at baseball games, and the Kabbalah meetings that have taken place? it’s like an open forum. It’s just short of embarrassing if nothing else,” the attorney added.
