The Cheetah Girls’ high-profile performance at the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been axed after nude photos of lead singer Adrienne Bailon surfaced on the Internet last week–reportedly at the request of the star herself.

“Performer confirmations are always fluid and subject to change for any live event,” a rep for Macy’s said in a statement Tuesday. “In fact we just received confirmations of three new acts this week. The Cheetah Girls were scheduled to appear in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but due to scheduling issues they could not make it.”

Looks like Adrienne Bailon’s nude photo publicity stunt has paid off after all.

Adrienne, who makes up one-third of Disney’s The Cheetah Girls, has been offered the opportunity to pose nude in a photo spread for an upcoming issue of Playboy Magazine.

According to the New York Post, Adrienne was recently presented with a contract from Playboy offering the Latina $100,000 to pose for “stylish photos with full nudity in a sufficient quantity and quality.”

The offer comes just two days after the actress/singer’s alleged nude photo leak was exposed as a publicity stunt by her publicist Jonathan Jaxson.

Jonathan says he and Adrienne cooked up the story to help boost the 25-year-old’s career among adult audiences.

“After the laptop was stolen, we used it as an opportunity to drum up some publicity and start speculating about nude photos, but we never expected anything to get out,” the celebrity informant told FOX News this week.

Adrienne Bailon has joined the ranks of Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens after The Cheetah Girls star became the latest Disney stripper to be caught with her pants down over the weekend. In case you missed it, a pair of scandalous photos of the Latina ass out–literally– hit the Net with a vengeance on Sunday.

The intimate images, snapped for Adrienne’s longtime boyfriend Robert Kardashian, were stolen after the star’s personal laptop was swiped from JFK Airport in her hometown of New York last month.

Celebrity informant Jonathan Jaxson, a friend of Adrienne’s, says he and the star originally planted rumors that there could be nude shots of her on her stolen laptop in a bid to “make her seem more of an adult – rather than a Disney star.”

Jonathan says he never imagined there actually were any such pictures. Of course, if he’s is telling the truth, it raises the thought that Adrienne leaked the nude photos herself.

“We decided to put [the rumors] out there as a plot to gain more attention for Adrienne’s image and make her seem more of an adult and, possibly, a sex symbol – rather than a Disney star,” says Jaxson, who once worked as a publicist for Adrienne’s future sister-in-law Kim Kardashian.

Right, because naturally Hollywood executives are just knocking down doors to hire 25-year-old B-listers with nude images of themselves floating around the World Wide Web.

A nude photo scandal, or rumors of one, probably won’t kill your career if you’ve already established yourself as one of the “It Celebrities” of the moment. The Disney actress reported her laptop stolen from New York’s JFK Airport in October. The same day the device mysteriously disappeared, Adrienne’s record label got an anonymous phone call from a man saying he would return her laptop for $1,000.

Adrienne says the photos were intended for her fiance, Robert Kardashian Jr., the younger brother of socialite Kim Kardashian.

“The photos that have surfaced of Adrienne Bailon were stolen from her laptop over a week ago at an airport in NY and sent to several media organizations. These photos were taken in private and were intended only for Adrienne’s boyfriend, Robert Kardashian. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or person’s sending these private photos out.”

“Adrienne is deeply sorry for any pain this may have caused to her fans.”

For those of you who don’t know the story, Adrienne Bailon is from the The Cheetah Girls and her laptop was stolen at the airport. It was eventually returned, but obviously the pics were copied. Apparently these photos were intended for her fiancee, Rob Kardashian. Too bad. There out now.
