Jennifer Aniston is in discussions to star opposite Adam Sandler in an upcoming romantic comedy, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The former Friends actress – who has appeared in endearing comedies like Along Came Polly and The Object Of My Affection - could play the funnyman’s spouse in the “romcom” Pretend Wife, which is eyed for a Feb. 11, 2011 release.

Funnyman Adam Sandler is preparing to step into drag for a gender-bending new comedy scheduled for release in 2011.

The actor has signed up to play the male and female tittle character in Jack and Jill, a romantic comedy about twins, Variety reported Thursday.

The movie is set to begin filming early next year.
