American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert called Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday to announce that he’ll be performing his eagerly-awaited new single at the 2009 American Music Awards next month.The Black Eyed Peas are also scheduled to perform at the awards show on Nov. 22.
The single has yet to be released, but will be “something entirely different” and “glammy,” Adam explained.
“It’s all very exciting…we’re bringing back a glam-rock kind of feel to pop music so I hope everbody likes it.”
Adam’s still untitled album will be released November 24.
With presales for his debut album wrecking the competition on Amazon.com, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has a lot to be thankful for. Lambert’s pre-order sales figures are even more impressive because his label, RCA, made no announcement that the disc — featuring production by RedOne and Ryan Tedder — could be pre-ordered. Thankfully, Lambert dropped several hints on Twitter last week.
