Heath Ledger’s final film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, The Associated Press reports.

In his final performance on the silver screen, Heath — who won a posthumous Oscar for his role as The Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight — plays Tony, a man who discovers a supernatural theater group that has the ability to travel to fantasy worlds, in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Directed Terry Gilliam completed the film with some pro bono help from Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and Colin Farrell, who took over Heath’s role as the character travels to make-believe realities.

The movie ends with a special dedication: “A film from Heath Ledger and friends.”
