Hey J. Lo, don’t quit your day job! Jennifer Lopez is nursing a bump on her famous backside after slipping onstage during a performance of her critically-panned new single — “Louboutins” — at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

Maybe she should stick to movies…..

Artist of the Year Taylor Swift may have been the night’s big winner, but The King of Pop broke the record for the artist with the most American Music Awards ever at the ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday night. Michael Jackson posthumously won awards for both Favorite Pop/Rock artist and Favorite Male Soul/R&B artist at the 2009 AMA. The two awards brought Michael’s lifetime total to 23.

Wearing a glittery white glove as a tribute to his late brother, former Jackson Five crooner Jermaine accepted the awards on his brother’s behalf, thanking Michael’s fans and reminding them to never forget “Michael’s message…of love.”

The CMA Entertainer of the Year is also the AMA Artist of the Year. The King of Pop was honored with four American Music Awards on Sunday night, but it was 19-year-old country star Taylor Swift who was honored as “Artist of the Year”.

The “Fearless” star won five of the six awards she was nominated for at tonight’s ceremony at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, even beating out Michael Jackson for the top prize in the fan-voted awards show.

“Music has never been ultimately about competition, and to be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson is an incredible honor.” She also thanked the Jackson family after receiving the night’s biggest honor.

Singer Adam Lambert performed onstage during the 2009 American Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday night. The performance precedes the release of Adam’s eagerly-anticipated debut album, For Your Entertainment, debuting this Tuesday.

After a special intro from acting vet Samuel L. Jackson, music legend Whitney Houston performed her inspirational comeback track, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” featured on the songbird’s seventh album I Look To You, during the 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday night.

Whitney also snagged the coveted International Artist of the Year prize at tonight’s ceremony.
