The New York Post claims Jacko missed out on a previously planned tribute because his diva demands were too excessive for Grammy producers.

The forty-nine year-old was reportedly dropped from the ceremony after he insisted a special honoree was on hand to introduce him to the stage. He also reportedly demanded a special award, which was unique to him that no one would ever receive again.

Michael even requested that the entire event was dedicated to his career with no less than thirty mentions to him as the King of Pop.

A level-headed Janet Jackson is sounding off on the Natalie Cole/Amy Winehouse Grammy Awards controversy. The jazz-singing daughter of late entertainment legend Nat King Cole stepped on a few toes earlier this week when she (a former heroin addict) blasted Grammy organizers for bestowing five Grammy Awards on a rehab-resistant crack addict.

I hear where Natalie is coming from, and I think she would understand it better than I could because she’s been there. She’s been addicted to drugs and had those issues. I could see her side of it, for sure, and it’s kind of a catch-22 for myself, because it does feel like someone is being rewarded for a negative act.
