Ratings for the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were a dud. In fact, the show could go down as the least-watched Emmy telecast in history.

Airing from 8-11 p.m. on Sunday night, this year’s averaged 12.2 million-that’s down six percent from the 2007 ceremony and is right on-course with the meager 12.3 million who tuned into the Emmys in the Fall of 1990.

Gold medal-winning Olympian Michael Phelps appeared in a comedy sketch featuring the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy as part of Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars Pre-Emmys show on Sunday night.

Did you watch the Emmys last night? The AMC drama Mad Men made Emmy history as the first basic-cable show to win a top series award, while the NBC sitcom 30 Rock took home four statues.

“We’re all so very grateful to have jobs in this turkey-burger economy,” star Tina Fey said after accepting the Best Comedy Series award.
