Britney Spears will unveil a new song, entitled ‘Cry,’ during her Sunday night opening performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards live from Las Vegas. The pop tart is also slated to perform ‘Gimme More,’ the lead comeback track off her November 13th release. Justin Timberlake has refused to duet with Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards 2007.
Britty already showed off her Criss Angel-helmed September opener to MTV bosses on August 27. The star, who now officially has beef with songwriting hitmaker Ne-Yo, was planning to sing ‘My Prerogative’ along with a medley of her greatest hits; along with images of exes Justin and Kevin flashing in the background behind her. ET Canada reports that Madonna is set to perform with Justin Timberlake next month’s 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

Nelly Furtado is the latest artist to be signed up to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas next month, along with Gym Class Heroes and Common. The Canadian songbird has been nominated for Female Artist of the Year alongside Fergie, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna and Beyonce.
