The cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore are in the Big Apple this week as America’s Favorite Guidos and Guidettes celebrate the premiere of a second season of barflying and beer-guzzling at the beach. Thursday’s stop on the Jersey Shore Season 2 brought the well-gelled and heavily-tanned gang to The TODAY Show, where the twentysomethings had some choice words for Garden State Governor Chris Christie.
The conservative Republican drew the ire of GTL-Lovers after he referred to a the MTV docu-soap as an embarrassment to his state during an appearance on ABC’s This Week on Sunday. In response to Christie’s remarks about the Jersey Shore cast, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, along with her cast mates Pauly D, J-Woww and Vinny Guadagnino, says The Shore is about “having a good time. You can be from Connecticut, wherever, New York.”
The sophomore season of Jersey Shore premieres tonight — July 29 — @ 10 PM on MTV.
