R&B fans will be shocked to learn that Bad Boy Records signee Cassie has shaved one side of her head….

We’re not kidding.

On Friday, the “Official Girl” singer, who made her debut on the R&B scene with the Summer ’06 hit “Me & U,” posted a shot of herself with a half-shaved head on her Twitter feed with the notes, “Something that will shock your mother, but make her call you a ROCK STAR….yeah I did it.”

The former model returned a few hours later to respond to a rush of fan Tweets pointing out what a damn fool she looks like: “They ask why?? Lol… B/C I WOKE UP AND FELT LIKE IT!!! YEEEAHHH!!! LOL.”
