It all started on a cruise ship…That should have been our first sign that there’d be trouble.
The Goss Gawkers at TMZ.com have gotten their Hot Little Hands on a video that reportedly features Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher behaving erratically in a “bipolar episode.” Fisher — the daughter of Hollywood royalty Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds — rocketed to fame playing Princess Leia in George Lucas’ 1977 cinema epic.
Fisher was videotaped giving a “bizarre performance” aboard a Holland American Eurodam ship in the Caribbean last week. Once a sex symbol to a many a sci-fi freak, Carrie was described as “slurring” a couple of songs and forgetting words.
Oh — there was also some talk of Carrie’s dog using the ship’s deck as a personal Port-a-Potty.
A rep for the actress released a statement, saying:
“There was a medical incident related to Carrie Fisher’s bipolar disorder. She went to the hospital briefly to adjust her medication and is feeling much better now.”
In January 2011, Carrie dropped 50 lbs. as part of an endorsement deal with Jenny Craig.
