Caroline Kennedy New York Senate Seat (Hillary Clinton Replacement)

Caroline Kennedy is pursuing Hillary Clinton’s seat in the United States Senate.
The daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy has asked Gov. David A. Paterson of New York to consider her for the soon-to-be available position, The New York Times reports.
Gov. Paterson has sole authority to name a replacement for Senator Clinton.
“She told me she was interested in the position,” the governor said Monday. “It’s not a campaign. She’d like at some point to sit down.”
Senator Clinton will not vacate her seat until she has been confirmed as President-Elect Obama’s secretary of state.
