Can’t Believe It’s The 20th Anniversary of ‘Friends’

friendsCast

I know it’s hard to believe but the very first episode of Friends aired 20 years ago today.

On that day we met six New Yorkers who sat around a table at the Central Perk Cafe just chitchatting. There didn’t seem to be anything too special. They were just friends who seemed to really love eachother and live across the hall in a beautiful NYC apartment. (How they could ever afford such a spacious and luxurious apartment in NYC, we have no idea.) But some how, by the end of the first episode, we were hooked. Hooked enough to watch 236 episodes. That’s ten seasons, worth.

Over the years, Friends has run on 12 different channels airing some of tv’s most iconic episodes with some of the most memorable tv lines that we still to this day quote. For instance, I bet you know the exact episode these lines came from: “WE WERE ON A BREAK!!!!“, “PIVOT! PIVOT!”, “See? He’s her lobster“, “Hi. I’m Chandler. Can I BE wearing anymore clothes?“, and “It’s actually Miss Chanandler Bong.” And there’s a lot more we probably know too.

We all have our favorite episodes that we can watch over and over again. The very reason why we still watch it late nights.

What are your favorite Friends episodes? How about:

The One With The Embryos– Where they have a trivia competition that leads to the apartment switch and the line “Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven!)

– Any of the Thanksgiving episodes

The One With Princess Consuela– Phoebe goes to get her name changed and realizes she can change it to what ever she wants so she chooses Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.

The One With The Holiday Armadillo– Where Ross introduces Ben to Chanukah.

– Any of the wedding episodes- Ross elopes with Rachel, Ross marries Emily, Monica marries Chandler, Phoebe marries Mike.

Which ever one it is, hopefully it’s in this video tribute put together of 236 episodes of Friends in 4:20 min. You’ll probably find episodes in here that you totally forgot about. Enjoy.
