Candy Spelling Selling Spelling Manor Over Feud With Tori
Candy Spelling says she’s selling the Spelling Family’s famed estate because of her feud with estranged daughter Tori.
On Friday, Spelling Manor was put on the market. With an asking price of $150,000, the mansion is the most expensive piece of real estate in America; and with good reason. he estate boasts a bowling alley, wine cellar, library, a gym, and over 100 bedrooms.
Candy tells PEOPLE she wouldn’t sell her mansion if she thought she’d ever have a relationship with her grandchildren. Tori and Candy fell out before the death of TV mogul Aaron Spelling in 2007. They reconciled later that year, following the birth of the actress’ first child, Liam, with husband Dean MCDermott. But mother and daughter are back on the outs, and this time Candy has little hope she will ever speak to her daughter–or her grandchildren–again.
“I don’t see Tori and Dean anymore. I used to see Liam, but no longer. And I’ve never met Stella. I’ve tried to talk to her (Tori), but that doesn’t work. She may not even know why she’s angry”
She explains, “If I had any hope that I would have a relationship with my grandchildren I would never sell this house. I’ve fantasized for years about a wonderful playhouse on the grounds for children.”
Candy Spelling’s memoir, Stories From Candyland, debuts this Tuesday, March 31/
