Candie’s Hayden Panettiere “Wake Up Call”

Candie’s will help promote spokesmodel Hayden Panettiere’s first single “Wake Up Call” in a series of the actress’ advetisements for the fashion line this Summer. “Wake Up Call” will be featured on Hayden’s forthcoming debut album from Disney’s Hollywood Records, slated for a 2009 release. Candie’s plans to incorporate Hayden’s new track into the star’s ads for the company, similar to what the brand did with former Candie’s spokesmodel Fergie’s platinum-selling track “Glamorous.” In 2006, Candie’s also featured Hilary Duff’s single “Wake Up” in her promotions for the line.
“When we look for our talent, we always look for the ‘it girl’ in pop culture,” says Dari Marder, chief marketing officer for Iconix Brand Group, parent company of Candie’s. “We really feel our customer connects with music . . . it’s a great formula.”
“Wake Up Call” won’t debut on iTunes until August, but fans of Hayden-Heroes’ World-saving cheerleader will get their first listen to the track in Hayden’s new Candie’s campaign, debuting with a print, commercial, and music video campaign in July.
