Candids: David Blaine Upside Down Challenge Wollman Rink Central Park
Daytime personality Kelly Ripa interviews David Blaine as he embarks on his Upside Down Man Endurance Challenge in New York’s Central Park this week.
Somebody’s gotta find David Blaine a new hobby. The thrill-seeking magician has begun his latest stunt-stringing himself upside down above Central Park’s Wollman ice skating rink, where he plans to hang out for 60 hours despite repeated warnings from doctors that his latest high-risk routine could leave him blind or cause life-threatening brain-swelling.
The spectacle is due to conclude on a primetime television special, called Dive of Death, which will air on ABC this Wednesday.
