Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed their first child, a son, on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles, the actor’s rep has announced. The still-unnamed baby made his big debut at 6.22 p.m. weighing in at 7 lb., 4 oz.

“A healthy baby boy was born,” Matthew, 38, tells said in a statement. “Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together.”
