California, Here We Come: ‘The OC’ Free to Stream on CW Seed

It’s a Chrismukkah miracle.

Those of us who couldn’t get enough of the spectacular early aughts ahow The O.C. now have cause to celebrate. And really, who doesn’t love this show? All four seasons of the canceled-too-early show are now available to stream on the CW Seed, CW’s online streaming website and app that features old and new shows.

The series has been conspicuously, and sadly, absent from more popular streaming services like Netflix (of course), Hulu, and Amazon. It’s available for purchase digitally on iTunes and Amazon, or on DVD, but who does that anymore? And anyway, $35 for a digital copy of each season is steep.

Instead, Seth, Summer, Marissa and Ryan are now just a few taps and clicks away. You can relive every good (and bad) moment from the second Ryan Atwood stole that car with his no-good brother Trey. You can sing along to Death Cab for Cutie with Seth and Summer on their way to Tijuana. You can see Olivia Wilde with a purple streak, flirting with Seth at the Bait Shop…and so much more.

The CW Seed was able to get streaming rights for the show, even though it originally aired on Fox, probably because the series was produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Television.

This is definitely the best early Chrismukkah present I could ask for.
