Victoria Beckham has turned down the chance to star in the latest Madagascar movie because she’s “too busy.”
The former Spice Girl-turned-stylista, 35, was asked to lend her voice to a new character in the next installment of the popular animated series, but gracefully bowed out of the project — opting instead to continue working full-time on her DVB clothing line.
“She was approached to do it,” her rep said Saturday. “But she declined the offer because she’s too busy.”
Victoria was approached about the voiceover role after making cameo appearances on the television dramedy Ugly Betty and Nickelodeon’s long-running cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants earlier this year.
Madagascar 3 – starring Ben Stiller and David Schwimmer – is due for release in 2012.
