Busted! 100 Celebrities Arrested For Drug Possession: 1-20
20. Brad Renfro
1998- He was arrested after he was pulled over in Tennessee because police found cocaine and marijuana in his pants and socks. Sadly, he died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2008.
19. Paul Reubens
Better known by his character name “PeeWee Herman”, Reubens was arrested in 1971 for possession and then famously was arrested for indecent exposure in 1991. I still think of him every time I hear the song “Tequila.” (You know, the dance on the bar with the white platform shoes in “PeeWee’s Big Adventure.) Classic.
18. David Lee Roth
The singer who rocked the spandex while rocking out with Van Halen was arrested in 1993 in New York City’s Washington Square Park for buying pot from an undercover police officer. He later described his purchase as “$10 worth of Jamaican, bunk reefer maan” and became a punchline for late-night television.
17. Ja Rule
2004- arrested for marijuana possession during a traffic stop, charges were dropped.
16. Carlos Santana
1991- The Grammy award winning guitar player was arrested at Houston Airport for transporting 5 grams of marijuana from Mexico.
15. Bon Scott
The lead singer for AC/DC was on of the first Australian rockers to be charged with possession of marijuana in the late 60s.
14. Tupac Shakur
The rapper got a lot of arrests under his belt in his short life, mostly for violence. His longest jail term was because of sexual abuse charges against him. While in jail, he was caught with marijuana and confined for 23 hours a day as punishment. He only stayed in jail for 11 months of his 1.5-4.5 year sentence and is the only artist to ever have an album at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving a prison sentence.
13. Charlie Sheen
When the actor was 16, he was arrested for marijuana possession on his mother’s birthday. His parents bailed him out and his dad took him directly to church. The charges were dismissed and coincidentally the judge was a friend of the family.
12. Kimora Lee Simmons
The fashionista was arrested during a traffic stop in 2004 and charged with marijuana possession and a few vehicular infractions.
11. Steve-O
2003- In Sweden, tried to smuggle weed in a condom and had to pay $6700 fine. 2005- He was seen leaving a club with a baggy of marijuana and was confronted by police but no attempts were made to arrest him. 2008- Went to rehab/psychiatric center.
10. Oliver Stone
The director was arrested and pleaded guilty in 1999 to drug possession and no contest to driving under the influence. His punishment was to go to rehab. In 2005, he was arrested in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
9. Thurman Thomas
Buffalo Bills Player. 2004- arrested at a hotel because guests alerted police that they smelled marijuana and thought Thomas had drugs in his possession. They were right but geez was it necessary to be tattletales?
8. Peter Tork
A member of the band the Monkees, Tork struggled with drugs and alcohol and it led to his arrest and incarceration for several months in the early 70s.
7. Rob Van Dam
Another guy that rocks out the spandex, the wrestler got in trouble in 2006 for having 18 grams of marijuana and 5 Vicodin pills. The result was a $140 fine and a 30 day suspension from the WWE.
6. Marcus Vick
His name sounds familiar because his older brother Michael Vick got in trouble recently for dog fighting/mistreatment. This Vick was arrested in 2004 during a traffic stop for speeding, marijuana possession and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Quit it Vick. Let those minors become delinquents by themselves.
5. Rasheed Wallace
2002- Arrested for marijuana possession at a traffic stop.
4. Dionne Warwick
The singer was held at the Miami International Airport in 2002 after a case containing 11 marijuana cigarettes was found in her carry on bag. Warwich was unsure how the marijuana got in her bag (listen to those annoying announcements at the airport and watch your luggage Dionne!) and the charges were dropped when she agreed to perform a series of public service announcements regarding illegal drugs.
3. Lil Wayne
2006- Employees say they saw a gallon size bag of weed in his room but police report only came back with 60 pills of Alprazolama(used for anxiety disorders and panic attacks), 59 hydrocodone pills and two small burnt joints of marijuana. 2007- Charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana when caught smoking by his bus. Also arrested in Atlanta for having marijuana, over 100 Xanax and hydrocodone pills. He failed to show up to court and an arrest warrant was issued even though he didn’t know it. January 2008- Arrested for having over 100 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy along with a pistol and tens of thousands in cash. He was released on a bail of $10,185.
2. Dawn Wells
Mary Ann from “Gilligan’s Island” was arrested in 2007 during a traffic stop when 4 partially consumed marijuana cigarettes and several containers of marijuana were found in her car. She failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. She was fined $410.50 and place on probation for six months. A five-day jail stay was suspended.
1. Amy Winehouse
2007- The year’s best trainwreck was arrested with her husband in Norway for marijuana possession and were released after paying a fine of 3850 kroner(around $800). She was supposedly “duped” into confessing but fluent English speakers handled the confession so it’s hard to say what she’s referring to. Winehouse was denied a U.S. visa because of “use and abuse of narcotics”, but was later issued one. Let’s leave her across the pond. She’s disturbing enough peace over there.

Alprazolam is the chemical name for the drug Xanax. It is in the class of benzodiazepines and is one of the most potent and *cough* fun of them all. Timothy Leary didn’t do it!

This is some of the stupidest shit I’ve ever seen on an “entertainment” website. I’ve never heard of more than half the people on the list, and I’m a rocker in my mid-40’s! That would explain not knowing most of the rap stars, but what of all the others?
If one were to remove all the entries for marijuana possession only, your stupid list would only be about 20 people. Why would you even want to call THAT an illegal drug just to put some “famous” person on your list?! They’re handing out licenses to use it now!
Of those 20 entries left, remove the ones that did not specify any drug at all, and you get, maybe 10-12 people with an actual, serious case of drug possession, like cocaine or heroin.

Now if they legalized marijuana, most of these people wouldn’t be on this list at all.

All I see is a list of celebrities that we wasted tax dollars on. Arresting someone for possession for 2 grams of marijuana is a joke, the laws allowing this are jokes, and the police officers, judges, and legislators letting this happen are jokes.

I just want say that marijuana shouldnt be a big issue in the war on drugs.
You can legally carry prescription xanax ect if the label has the description
of dosage, name, doctor, and if it is up to date. If you can proove to law enforcement that the prescription is yours than you are ok. Law enforcement may ask for id to see if your name and address matches the prescription if it does you are fine.

Seriously? Whether you think marijuana is a serious drug or not, IT IS STILL ILLEGAL IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE PRESCRIPTION TO POSSESS AND USE IT. Any type of substance use that interferes with your ability to follow the rules and norms of a civilized society is wrong. I’m sick of people trying to justify and rationalize their use of illegal substances because they think it’s not harmful to anyone else. Since when is inhaling any kind of smoke good for your lungs and circulatory system? But I guess the part of your brain that entertains logic and reason was fried from all the smoke.

I agree completely with “thinknwithmyunfriedbrain”! It is ILLEGAL, folks! Any chemical that is smoked or inhaled, especially, is harmful in soooo many ways! Get a grip on reality, people!

As an American citizen… under our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…. I believe that I should be able to choose what I smoke, drink, and “use”…. If it makes you happy, makes you feel alive, provides personal freedom from oppression—- that’s all good in my book.
You people with your pretentious ideals have forgotten that it was the rebels who made this country.

YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT AN ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE SHOULD HAVE 2 MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
1) IT IS HARMFUL TO YOUR BODY
2) IT INTER FEARS WITH YOUR ABILITY TO MAKE RIGHT JUDGMENT
Take it from me or from any other experienced potsmoker, neither one of these two qualify. Pot has made me alot more jacked bcuz of the munchies and I can do anything (from going to my classes at NYU to drive a car) PERFECTLY FINE.

I smoke weed and i think that anybody who wants to smoke weed can and should be able to. I strongly agree that marijuana should be legal. I don’t see why marijuana shouldn’t be legal, i mean alcohol is legal but it fucks you up way more than weed, and thousands of people drive drunk all the time. Marijuana does not impair you to where you cant drive. Marijuana is not a drug, it is a plant that has been on earth forever. People have smoked it ever since the first person found it. Marijuana could bring in Billions of dollars if it were legalized and taxed just like alcohol. It would safer to do that simply because most people dont personally know who they get there weed from. If it were regulated kids wouldn’t be able to get it as they can now. I could get weed when i was 12 years old. I believe that marijuana is not harmful and should be LEGAL. I could go on all day long on why marijuana should be legal, but only one person cant do the job so ROLL IT UP AND TAKE A TOKE AMERICA
