Director Bryan Singer on Monday morning briefly posted the very first look at the new Nightcrawler who will appear in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The Instagram posted video was released as Singer and his team prepared for the first official day of production.
The Instagram video shows Nightcrawler as he pops in and out of the view. The blue-skinned mutant with the power of teleportation was first seen on screen in “X2: X-Men United.” Alan Cumming originated the role in “X2.” for the new “Apocalypse” film, Kodi Smit-McPhee will take on Kurt Wagner’s character. Smit-McPhee is best known for his roles in “Let Me In,” “The Road,” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
While Singer quickly removed the first look, we took a quick screenshot of the new Nightcrawler.
Singer announced Kodi’s role in the film nearly two months ago.
Interesting fact, Kodi starred opposition of Magneto actor Michael Fassbender in this summer’s “Slow West.” When asked about his Nightcrawler costume Kodi was incredibly excited about his characters new look.
