Brooks & Dunn Split
Country-western’s Brooks & Dunn are calling it quits after 20 years of hitmaking.
In a personal message to fans on their official website Monday, the platinum-selling country duo revealed that after embarking on a 2010 tour and releasing their new album, #1’s and … And Then Some, next month, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will disband their partnership.
“After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it’s time [to] call it a day,” the statement reads. “This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed. … We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don’t believe them, it’s just time. ”
