Bronson Pinchot: “Tom Cruise Was A Boring Homophobe!”
Hey guys, do your remember Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers? Of course you do. Well, apparently he’s still alive and making regular guest roles on The Young And The Restless. Who knew? You may not remember that Bronson co-starred alongside Tom Cruise in his 1983 breakout hit Risky Business. And according to Bronson, a then 20-year-old Tom, was a bit of a bigoted douchebag. We’re shocked!

“We thought Tom was the biggest bore on the face of the Earth,” he tells A.V. Club. “He was tense and made constant, constant unrelated homophobic comments, like, ‘You want some ice cream, in case there are no gay people there?’ I mean, his lingo was larded with the most… There was no basis for it. It was like, ‘It’s a nice day, I’m glad there are no gay people standing here.’ Very, very strange.”
Although he doesn’t actually say the Father of Scientology is gay, he does point out: “If someone’s 20 years old and every third line out of their mouth is anti-something specific, then draw your own conclusion.”
He adds, “Years and years later when people started to torment him with that, I used to think ‘God, that’s really fitting,’ because he tormented a lot of people as a 20-year-old.’ He made such a big deal about it.”
Cruise’s publicist, Cheryl Maisel, has rebuffed Pinchot’s accusations. “Obviously this is so far removed from who Tom Cruise is as a person, this must have been said in jest,” she said in a statement.

Isn’t homophobia one of the prerequisites for Scientology? No surprise here!
