“Brokeback Mountain” Opera 2013 New York City
A couple of gay cowboys are on their way to the New York City Opera. The City Opera has commissioned American composer Charles Wuorinen to write an opera based on the Oscar-winning film Brokeback Mountain, starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as two ranch-hands who fall in love. Brokeback Mountain: The Opera will premiere in 2013.
