A high-end Dublin, Ireland hotel recently refused to accomodate pop queen Britney Spears by temporarily installing a stripper pole in the singer’s suite, Irish newspaper The Herald is reporting.

According to The Herald, Britney cancelled her reservation at the establishment after hotel management denied her request to install a steel pole in her suite for the brief stay. A source claims the star — who is currently touring Europe — likes to have the pole handy for “exercising” between shows.

“A request was made to Britney’s original hotel in Dublin to see if they could install a pole there during her four-day stay there, but they refused point blank,” says one hotel employee, who asked not to be identified. “They’re well used to having major celebrities stay there and they’re happy to accommodate them, but this was just a step too far.”
