Sarah Silverman’s publicist has released a statement denying rumours that she was responsible for Britney Spears’ poor performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday. According to celebrity tattles, Britney overheard that Sarah was going to make fun of her two kids before taking the stage in a disastrous ‘comeback’ performance. According to a show insider, nobody knew Sarahs’ material prior to going onstage.

“Sarah did nothing but react to Britney’s actions in a comical way which is what she was asked to do” her rep told Perez Hilton.

“There was no MTV script approval” the insider told Perez “The only person who knew what Sarah was going to say was Sarah.

”When she rehearse she even said, ‘Joke. Joke. Joke. 50 Cent. Britney Spears. Etc.’ And she only mentioned the names of the people that she was going to talk about. No one ever heard her material before it aired.”

You know, I’m going out on a limb here to suggest Sarah’s statements were in poor taste. It’s one this to diss a celeb to her face, but when you include the kids, you cross a line.

Who is she to include Britney’s kids? Sure, diss the person in the spotlight, but you don’t need to call her kids mistakes. Who is she or anyone to say that?! I feel sorry for her because 70% of the world see a bad picture of her without her kids and then OMG all of a sudden she is partying on drugs and her kids are with another nanny. You don’t know her life. Gossips magazines are just said.. GOSSIP. It’s not real. It gets YOU to buy their magazine. They put a good cover on it that looks juicy, so that YOU, the stupid people who will believe anything you hear will buy it. Sure some buy it for a source of entertainment and just to SEE what people are saying.. but for those who actually believe it. I feel more sorry for you then people claim to be about Britney. I hope for her to come out of everything that is holding her back and for her to come back to who she was and not be afraid to start over. She will only come out of it all more wise and stronger. And the MAJORITY of the world want to see her do well and rise above it all. Would you give booze to an alcoholic? Tell someone sucidial to jump while they’re standing on a bridge? REAL people with a true sense of self and dignity wouldn’t kick someone while they’re down. Why would someone want to see someone fail? Think about it.. Cuz anyone with half a brain should have the answer to that.
