RUMOR ALERT: The latest hot scoop off the Celebrity Rumor Mill has Britney Spears taking a stab at starting her own record label. Sony BMG Music has reportedly backed Britney in launching Enslaved Records, spywitnesses claim. Rumor mongers say Britney’s newly-formed label is in negotiations to sign its first act, New York based rock band Mean Venus, for a Summer 2008 debut.

Britney allegedly encountered Mean Venus mid-set some months ago at NJ’s legendary Stone Pony and offered the Mean Venus boys a deal on the spot.
