Britney Spears has been fired from the new movie, Memoirs of a Medicated Child, in which the troubled star was slated to portray the girlfriend of a mentally-ill man. The independent flick will begin shooting this spring.

“Even with an accepted $3 million offer on the table and negotiations being finalized, producers decided to can Brit,” a unidentified rep for the film tells Extra.
