NBC snitches report that Britney Spears is being tapped to star in a new sitcom opposite ‘Friends’ alum Matthew Perry.. The tentatively titled “Occasional Wife” stars Matthew as an a guy who persuades a young, wacky artist to pose as his missus, so as to bolster his career. According to New York Post celebrity snitch Liz Smith: “There’s something about her that just connects with the audience…. They want her to succeed now in spite of her adversity.”
