Britney Spears may join Madonna’s hot Sticky & Sweet Tour next month.

Madonna wants Britney Spears to be the opening act for her 2008 Sticky and Sweet Tour.

“It’s hoped that Madonna can help Britney get back to her old self. Appearing with Madonna would really kickstart her career again.”

According to Britain’s Daily Mail, Madge is set to record a video with the twenty-six year old singer in New York City on Sunday-the footage will be broadcast via jumbotron during Madonna’s tour, which kicks off on August 23rd.

“They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna’s show,” a spywitness close to the stars has revealed. “And they are talking about Britney taking the stage on a few of the dates too.”

“She’s been there and done it so could provide some great guidance…..There’s no doubt that her and Britney together will spell fireworks again.”
