Toni and Cher’d better watch out, Hurricane Britney could be headed to town. Britney Spears is in negotiations to headline a six show singing extravaganza the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas.

According to The National Enquirer, a Hollywood dinner on May 8th was just one in series of meetings between the pop and the Maloof Brothers, who own the famed Palms.

“Britney is working very hard to get in shape and hopes to make a splashy comeback in Las Vegas,” says an Enquirer snitch. “She wants the show to be full of high energy and flashy costume changes.”

Britney could be in for a $10 million payday if the singer’s management team can convince the Maloofs to hire her. If those shows are sell-outs, the former teen idol could be land a longer contract for performances.

Britney’s hoping that the predictable schedule of a nightly show will help her balance performing and motherhood.
