Somebody might be in trouble with the tax man. An attorney for Britney Spears revealed that the institutionalized singer’s estate is currently undergoing an IRS audit with her record label, Jive, in open court on Monday. “Ms. Spears’ estate consists of $40 million in assets and is currently undergoing a $17 million IRS audit,” Adam Streisand said during a hearing to strip Spears patriarch Jamie Spears of conservatorship over the embattled pop star. Streisand went on to say that Brit is in the middle of the IRS audit with Jive Records.
