With reports of a 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards opening performance, Britney Spears’ team of agents, managers, lawyers, image-molders, stylists, assistants, and mom Lynne Spears herself, are planning a ‘Britney Intervention’ in Los Angeles over the weekend in hopes resurrecting the pop idol’s career.

The meeting will cover music and film option, as well as damage control strategies in the wake of the ‘MTV VMA Comeback Debacle.’

”I’m sure Britney’s problems with pills, alcohol and her parenting skills will also be part of the overall conversations,” says a Spears camp mole.

The team is expected to strongly suggest Britney disappear for a number of months — then return with a big splash when she is a more viable ”brand.”
