Britney Spears “If U Seek Amy” Third Single Release
“If U Seek Amy” will be the third single released from Britney Spears’ platinum-selling Circus album, the pop tart announced on her official Web site on Wednesday.
“Circus” and “Womanizer” were the first two singles released from the album.
In December, fans chose the controversial track as the song she should chose for her next single in a poll on the site; “Amy” won after taking 26 percent of the vote.
According to Rolling Stone, many parents are taken aback by lyrics in the song’s chorus.
“I was astonished and totally taken aback when I heard my 5 and 7-year-old kids walking around the house singing ‘F-U-C-K,” one parent has complained. “When I asked them what it was, they told me it was Britney Spears. I was horrified.”

I think it’s too bad that 5 and 7 year olds are singing this song- however, they’re not really in Britney’s target demographic anymore. Any parent who still think a Britney album is a good idea for a kindergartner maybe hasn’t seen much of her. I love britney- but I’m an adult. I was a kid when her music first came out, and I’ve stayed hooked. That’s where a lot of her fan base is. She’s not the virginal 17-year-old anymore (She’s been married twice, has kids, and a lot more drama) so I think parents should take that all into account before letting their kids listen to the music. Otherwise, kids might sing F-U-C-K me and you just have to deal with the consequences.
