Britney Spears’ plans to extend her Circus World Tour to Australia and Europe later this year have run into a bit of trouble, thanks to global economic crisis.

The singer, who remains under the conservatorship of her father Jamie, went to court earlier this month for permission to take her shows aboard, but the judge overseeing the case has postponed a ruling on the matter–the decision rests on whether the economy picks up in the coming months.

“It hasn’t yet been determined whether it’s feasible to expand tours to the Europe or Australia legs. That will be determined in the future after everyone’s seen the analysis, in terms of the economy and value of the dollar,” said L.A. Superior Court Commissioner, Reva Goetz.

Britney Spear’s Circus is currently touring North America and will head to the UK in June.
