Britney Spears is planning to auction off some of her personal items and donate the money to charity, according to her close friend Sam Lutfi.

“It’s something Britney wanted to do to counterbalance all the rumors and negativity in the press — to do something positive,” Sam told photographers for X17Online. He continues by saying that “all she can do is be herself, love her kids, and do small things like this to help people. She’d like to donate the money to a children’s cause which she’ll announce at the time of the auction.”
