Despite being placed on a $60 a day allowance by father/guardian Jamie Spears last month, pop star Britney Spears was recently warned that she will be broke within four years if she fails to get a handle on her finances.

Earlier this year, the Internal Revenue Service launched an investigation into the singer’s estate after her once $100 million fortune dwindled down to just $40 million.

“She was very wide-eyed and attentive but she’s as addicted to buying houses and new Mercedes as she is to the attention of the paparazzi,” a snitch spills to tabloid reporters.

“There was a mom­ent when her mother said she could be out of money within four years, and her children would still be at primary school. That was when she really sat up and took notice.”
