British Poll Dubs Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Ozzy Osbourne The Worst Singers Of All Time

Ozzy Osbourne, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion have been dubed the “worst singers of all time.”

The poll, administered by British magazine Q, lauds Elvis Presley as “the greatest voice of all time”, but singles out popular stars such as Dion and Carey for their vocal inability.

The judging panel says, “(Mariah Carey) may have an 100-octave range and the ability to sing so loudly that birds’ nests fall from tress, but that doesn’t make it right. (Celine Dion) grinds out every note as if bearing some grudge against the very notion of economy.”

lol why ozzy.. lol yes he is the worst singer along with britney spears lol. but celine dion is amazingly talented and who ever wrote that above cant recognise talent if it hit them in the face. lol. mariah has an awful voice if she was a dog and squealed like that people wouldnt think twice about putting it down. but celine dion is much better than elvis hes awful. lol this is a joke lol celine dion is amazing along side christina aguilera.

WTF?! Mariah Carey is the best singer since the beginning of the universe and always will be. But two things they did get right is that she does have an 100 octave range (lolz); and she sings so loudly that not only do birds nest fall from trees but she sends the earth reverberating.

it’s not what you’ve got, it’s what you do with it. and never has that been so apparent as with Celine Dion and the excruciating, humourless cack she has unleashed on my sensitive ears. People go on about her multi vocal octave range as if it automatically follows that what eminates is amazing music. it’s not. it’s not even good music, it’s evil on a par with Chris De Burgh

Mariah Carey and Celine Dion would not be the worlds 1st and 3rd biggest selling female artists, respectively, of all time if they could not sing. Whomever believes that someone like Elvis Presley, who was a great performer, not vocalist, could sing better than these two glorious singers should get their ears checked.

You dumb fucks need to spell right. And Mariah SUCKS. She may be gorgeous and a good songwriter but she lost her voice. Celine was better vocally 1992-1998 but her voice still kicks ass. And I want to torture the “POPCRUNCH!” host. Carrie looks amazing you shitheaded ugly whore.

Anthony, that was amazing. :) Thank you. The thing about Mariah Carey is that the whole buzz about her octave range was a gimmic. Her publicist said she had a 7 octave range to get her noticed. While she is a good singer, 7 octaves is bullshit! She can sing within 5, no more. Trust me, that’s remarkable. most really good singers can’t sing above 3.

Let me be fair here. I do agrre about Ozzy, he is as talanless as Britney, no doubt about it. Also, Mariah may possess great vocals, but she lacks the ability to sing soulfully, she seems to struggle in expressing vocally her music. However, she does not deserve to be placed in that shameful category. I completely disagree about Celine: I may not be a big fen of her, but she is one of the best vocalists and performers alive.

And people, please stop speculating about vocal range if you don’t know what it means. Distinguish between someone claiming they have a 5-octave vocal range, and the actual ability to control the voice within that range (because random screaming is not singing, so stop talking about 6,7, …, 100 octaves).
