Bristol Palin’s baby daddy is talking to the press.

Eighteen-year-old Levi Johnston, who recently dropped out of high school to take a job as an electrician’s aprentice, denied rumors that he is being forced to marry the pregnant daughter of Republican Vice-Presidential nominee in an interview with The Associated Press on Monday.

“None of that’s true. We were planning on getting married a long time ago with or without the kid. That was the plan from the start. We both love each other. We both want to marry each other. And that’s what we are going to do.”

The baby is due Dec. 18., says Johnston, who hinted that he and Bristol, 17, are expecting a boy.

“I’m looking forward to having him,” he says. “I’m going to take him hunting and fishing. He’ll be everywhere with me.”

As for Governor Palin’s place on the Republican ticket, the expectant father says:

“I just hope she wins. She’s my future mother-in-law. She better win.”
