Brian Setzer Hospitalized
Grammy Award singer Brian Setzer — lead crooner The Brian Setzer Orchestra and former frontman of The Stray Cats — was briefly hospitalized after following ill with dehydration, high altitude sickness, and vertigo during a live show on Monday night.
Setzer was so sick, he was unable to complete a performance in Albuquerque this week. The singer performed three Christmas-themed songs with his orchestra during a sold-out concert at Isleta Resort and Casino before leaving the stage. An announcer came on stage about 9 PM and told the audience Setzer had been taken to a local hospital. According to a posting on his website, Setzer was treated, released, and will perform as scheduled Tuesday night in Phoenix. The rest of his current tour will continue as planned.
