Bret Michaels Broken Nose, Bruised Following Tony Awards Injury
VH1 reality star Bret Michaels suffered moderate injuries as he performed with his ’80s heavy metal band Poison at 63rd Annual Tony Awards — live from NYC’s Radio City Music Hall — on Sunday night. During the show’s opening number, the rocker turned Rock of Love frontman was struck in the head and knocked over by a descending piece of set equipment.
The Associated Press reports that Bret fractured his nose, received three stitches in his lip, and is “pretty bruised up” following last night’s mishap. According to his publicist, Bret — who has already been x-rayed–will undergo a CAT scan later this afternoon as a precautionary measure.
