More of America’s housewives are moving to Bravo.
The NBC-owned cable network has given a series order to The Real Housewives of DC and ordered a second-season of last year’s ratings hit The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Both are set to premiere next year.
Rumored cast members for the eagerly-anticipated DC Housewives series will include Lisa Wernick Spies, wife of Republican fundraiser Charlie Spies, and Lynda Erkiletian, president of a local modeling agency. Ironically, in a city with one of the largest populations of African-Americans in America, not a single one of these women is Black — or even East Indian, Ethiopian, which are also represented in strong numbers in Washington.
Washington is the fifth city to join Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise.
