Brandy wasn’t under the influence when she rear ended a Toyota in a four car pile-up that left a mother of two dead on a stretch of the Los Angeles Freeway-but she may have been brokenhearted.
The National Enquirer is reporting that the flopped R&B teen queen was officially canned by her former fiance, the New York Knicks Quentin Richardson, on the morning of the accident. Brandy was reportedly seen crying when she left his hotel.
The sources say, “The morning of the accident Brandy had been visiting her on-again off-again fiance, New York Knicks basketball star Quentin Richardson, who was in town for a game.
The tried to reconcile one more time when Quentin finally told Brandy it just wasn’t going to work. She left his hotel in tears.
Later that morning Brandy was going 65 mph when she slammed her 2007 Land Rover in a 2005 Toyota driven by 38-year old Awatef Aboudihaj, who was married with one child… Aboudihaj’s car hit another vehicle then slid sideways before striking the center divider. Brandy was not injured, but witnesses at the scene claim she was hysterical.”
Brandy and Quentin announced their engagement in 2004. Brandy was so in love with the hoopz star that she tattooed a picture of his face near her shoulder. Q’s face became a cat when the lovin’ twosome split for the first time a year later.
Quentin has spoken out saying that he believes Brandy’s status as a celebrity has trumped up the media coverage of what he views as just an “accident.”
