And they said it wouldn’t last…
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have always said they wouldn’t say “I Do” until gay marriage was legalized in the United States. But it looks like the superstar couple is forging ahead with plans to march down the aisle.
After six kids and romance that began in scandal, Brad and Angie announced their engagement on Friday, sealing the deal with a special ring the acting hunk designed with Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop.
Brad’s rep confirmed the wedding news in a statement:
“Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring.”
Procop worked with Brad on the engagement bauble for more than a year. The jeweler says the Moneyball star “wanted every aspect of it to be perfect.”
“Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution,” Robert’s camp says. “The side diamonds are speciality cut to encirlce her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
